This was so much better in real life! It is the Atomium in Brussels, Belgium. I had to visit a client and their office was just round the corner from this monument. I never knew it existed - shame on me. It was built for Expo '58, the 1958 Brussels World's Fair.

The reason for the late posting is that I am travelling at the moment.. went over to Belgium on Monday, with a colleague. Having dinner with a colleague was hard work as you can see... :)

Scotland: This is just north of Abington, and this hill with it's trees in black (or so it seemed) stood out amongst all the white hilltops.

No photo yesterday, it was work and travel up to Manchester... but on Saturday 7th we did some tourist sightseeing in the Lake District, so here are 2 pics of that set:

UH OH.... the really small crack in the window has grown today!! It went from about 4-5 inches to a whopping 26 inches!! Time to get it replaced I think...

This is the scene that greeted me at a few minutes past 7 this morning - absolutely beautiful..
Most of the schools in the area closed for the day, so the kids had a snow-day which is a rare occurrence here in the Thames Valley!
