Taken over the weekend: My men are walking on Rhosilli Beach, on the Gower Peninsula in Wales.
It is low tide, but even at high tide, this is a huge sandy beach!

July 5 - beach + bonus pics

This is the largest jellyfish we have ever seen on a beach!



Ready to have lunch! Note the sunshine?? We did get some rain first thing on Saturday morning, and there was rain during the night, but we generally had good weather: we've all come home sunburned!




He still remembered how to surf!

July 4 - camping weekend!

We've taken Elko and Matthew to the Gower for a camping weekend, plus a surprise for them as a thank you for their 'jobs' at our wedding 6 weeks ago.

These are our home for the 2 nights. And there has been no rain till now: at the time of this picture it was about 10:45 am on Sat 4th....



And this is their surprise:



We booked them a flying lesson from Swansea airport!

Clearing tree/bush stumps to be able to lay our deck in the spot where the sun still shines in our garden at the end of the evening...

June 30 - Wellington College

OK, so it was not taken today, I took this on Sunday as it is in the grounds of this college that Berkshire County Rugby Squad was doing the 1st coaching session.

Clearing away tree trunks out of a flower bed to make room for our deck, Andy came across this stag beetle!




And here a picture of the flowers that are making the garden look glorious - maybe a rose garden is not such a bad thing after all!

June 22 WELL DONE KEVIN!!!!

Kevin passed his exams with good marks.
Marks are given out of 10, with 10 being the top and a 5 would be considered to just manage to pass, unless you had 2 or 3 of them, in which case they make you re-sit those subjects.

He achieved a 7 for Dutch, Trade and for Administration, a 6 for English and for Social Sciences and an 8 for Maths!

This garden is full of birds - we have seen 13 different birds in our garden! Will try to photograph them all at some point!

This shows the old prison here in Reading, where Oscar Wilde was once held, and the latest addition of office buildings almost next to it!
