The bright pink rosebush is definitely an attention grabber, and just stunning to see.
The rose over the archway was not there last year: we stuck the arch in the ground and draped a rose bush over it, and hoped for the best. That was at the end of the autumn last year, and now look at it! It's gorgeous!

Sat out on the deck enjoying the evening when this aeroplane came over... so took a quick snapshot with my mobile phone.
And then Mrs Stagbeetle came for a look... As we had Mr Stagbeetle flying around our heads last night, I think they are looking for where they were laying their eggs/nesting? last year.... we built our deck over that area....
