Jan 29 - Mother and son...

Jan 28 - left over piles of snow...

There are still lots of piles like these (ugly!) in many places where the snow was piled up high. It surprised me, as we have been well above freezing temps for a couple of weeks now, and had quite a bit of rain too...

Jan 27

I was quite pleased with this shot! Was not sure I would be able to get this much detail with my camera and lens combination:

Jan 8 - Snowy path along the Thames

2010 - Jan 7 - cutting branches

And that gives an idea of the size of the part of the tree that fell onto the car. The car is probably a write-off... :(

2010 - Jan 6 - candles mostly buried.. and OOPS!!

We now have a whopping 32cm of snow = 12.5inches:

And the tree could not cope with that and about a 3rd of it came to our car for a rest!

2010 - Jan 5 - candles halfway buried

This was taken less han 3 hrs after yesterday's photo:

2010 - Jan 4 - candles in snow

Actually, this was taken on Jan 5th.. I didn't take any photos on Jan 4th.

2010 - Jan 3 - arrival in Dover

2010 - Jan 2 - departing Dunkerque

2010 - Jan 1 - My mum and me!

Sunday 3 January 2010

A whole year of photographs completed....

And with that last post, it marks the end of the first year of my "Project 365"..

I have learned a lot, and confirmed to me that I can honestly say that photography is a hobby. And I hope to continue to learn and improve. Some of that will come with more practise and new challenges.. and maybe my new toy will help: A Nikon D90 DSLR with 2 lenses....
As soon as I have found a suitable bag for it, I will be dragging that one around rather than my faithful Panasonic FZ28. Which is lovely and has brought me much pleasure over the year!

And yes, I will continue with the next round of taking a photograph every day.

But maybe with some theme for every week? Or based on a technique? Any ideas anyone?
