Reading Festival started yesterday for those with an "Early Bird Ticket", the remainder showed up today.Last year that added 80000 people to the town!! This then was the scene in the supermarket nearest to the festival site. It was complete mayhem and you could just about walk over the heads of the kids!!

People telling the world what they think about this beach:

July 28

It did not start out very sunny so we decided to go to the outdoor theatre in Porthcurno (The Minack Theatre, amazing place!) and of course it turned into a gorgeous afternoon. This is the view from the seats in the theatre towards the beaches of Porthcurno and Pednevounder.

July 27

A day with very very low clouds! We visited Botallack and Levant mines as it was definitely not a beach day today.
This picture is at Levant where they still have a working beam engine.

July 26

See that person in the blue jacket at the bottom of the cliff? It gives a good idea of how tall the cliffs are and what we climb up and down to get to the beach!

July 25

My day for animals today!! First I saw a little black lizard scooting out of the way as we climbed down the cliffs today, and then I stood on a weever fish (OUCH!!) and then I saw this little chap: a slow worm (looks like a snake to me, but he was tiny and harmless). Just disconcerting when you spot something moving from the corner of your eye when you are just soaking up the sunshine on the beach!

July 24

The snorkler was telling the fisherman where to cast his line to get a better chance of catching a fish! Too funny!!

Not a sunny weather day today.

July 23

The rescue services are doing a practise exercise:
